Masahiro Suzuki
Contemporary Artist
Masahiro
Suzuki has been involved with art for over thirty years and
his contemporary work in aluminum and iron take on an
ethereality of sight and sound. His titled work is quite
onomatopoeic such as "hush" and "sigh" which are the sounds
one would put to these. Masahiro Suzuki is the embodiment of
the free spirit who masterfully captures that very moment
when energy releases itself thus the beginning of life.
Suzuki cuts pieces of aluminum and iron and fits them
together much like puzzle pieces are carefully placed
together. Though contemporary in presentation, his work
evokes a sense of the basic feelings of life and living. The
metallic quality is strong, yet simple; one might refer to
it as minimalism.
